Listing Details
‘Founded in the 1970s as the “Tudor Consort” but changed its name to reflect the broadening of its repertoire which, as well as including music from the 16th century, extends through baroque, classical and romantic eras into the 20th century ... The choir comprises a flexible grouping of about 18 singers, some of whom are soloists in their own right. They perform regularly with orchestras and instrumental groups, as well as with organ or piano accompaniment, but at the heart of the choir is the enduring excitement of unaccompanied music, both sacred and secular.’
