+ Leeds Guild of Singers
Listing Details
‘An enterprising choir of up to 30 singers with a repertoire ranging across 7 centuries, equally at home in Renaissance polyphony and new work and commissions ... The Choir was founded in 1948 "to encourage the appreciation of music by the burghers of Leeds" as a small group of professional/semi-professional singers. Historically the choir has always maintained a close association with the University of Leeds School of Music ... We sing in and around Leeds, giving around six concerts and performances every year, some for charity. We are also for hire.’
