@ Winchester Cathedral
Listing Details
‘Life at the Cathedral is anchored in a centuries-old pattern of daily worship, often enriched by glorious choral music, and the great seasonal festivals of the church year. We also work with our local communities and parishes, as well as national and international partners and networks. Our aim is to make this great Cathedral a special place where everyone can, in their own chosen way, feel the beauty of holiness ... The core of our present-day Organ dates from the mid 19th century, and was built by the master organ maker “Father” Henry Willis. His firm, Henry Willis & Sons Ltd, also built organs for many other cathedrals including Durham, Hereford, St Paul’s and Salisbury. It’s still in business today.’
