‘We are a friendly band that supports local & regional events. Established in 1888 we have our own bandroom where we practise ... The band performs at many engagements each year to raise the funds needed to enable the band to continue its commitment to offer free tuition to anyone wishing to learn, regardless of means or ability. The band is a very friendly and relaxed band with members between the ages of eight and their eighties! We have a training band that allows new members to improve their playing abilities to a point where they are confident to join the main band.’
