‘We perform all over Cumbria at many community and private events. We also travel out of Cumbria for competitions and marches. We welcome new players of all ages and abilities ... Three Bands to suit all musical abilities ... Training Band is our band for beginners of all ages from seven upwards. Developing new musicians ensures the future of Penrith Town Band. We welcome new players – children and adults – who are keen to learn a brass instrument from scratch. We encourage parents to learn alongside their children, rather than sitting in the car! ... Intermediate Band is not just a bridge between Training and Main Band. It is very much a band in its own right with its own repertoire and concert schedule.’
