'We have over 40 members and perform a wide range of music, including popular song arrangements and larger choral works. We give 3 or 4 concerts each year, some jointly with other choirs, and enjoy a high reputation for our performances.'

 

‘We are an enthusiastic and friendly four part choir of about 50 singers and are always happy to see new members who will be sure of a warm welcome.  If you have always wanted to sing and join a choir and haven’t done so yet why not come along and give us a try?  We will provide you with good music (copies loaned free of charge), good company and the opportunity to enjoy a high standard of singing ... The atmosphere is informal ... and there are no auditions and no fees for newcomers for the first term and reduced fees for young singers.’

 

Founded in 1975: 'We give concerts in Billericay and other parts of Essex ... Most of our concerts are built around a theme, which gives us the opportunity to cover a wide range of music in one programme, often taking in a madrigal at one end and a pop standard at the other ...'

'The Hall stands in open countryside, one mile from the village of Ingatestone and substantially retains its original Tudor form and appearance with its mullioned windows, high chimneys, crow-step gables and oak-panelled rooms and is surrounded by ten acres of enclosed gardens comprising extensive lawns, walled garden and stew pond ... The public rooms and grounds may be hired for a wide variety of public or private events including receptions & dinners, lectures & seminars, concerts and plays, trade promotions & corporate events, garden parties, fairs & exhibitions and film locations.'

 

Occasional oper-air concerts: 'The Friends of Lake Meadows  is a voluntary organisation working with Basildon Borough Council, Billericay Town Council to help care for Lake Meadows park for the benefit of the community'.
