‘East Riding of Yorkshire Council's dedicated, state-of-the-art performance centre. The Hexagon Music Centre was completed in August 2010 after a major refurbishment project to transform the former Swinemoor Infant School into a state of the art performance centre ... There are 9 rooms available to hire with seating capacity ranging from 5 to 150. The centre boasts two fully restored grand pianos, plus 3 upright pianos.‘

'Formed in the 1930's. A group of ladies decided to start their own entertainment programme in Hornsea, because it was difficult to travel to concerts in Hull. Like many social organisations, activities were suspended during World War II, but they were restarted in 1948 ... The society continues to thrive after more than 70 years ... The society are very grateful to the United Reformed Church for storing its Grand Piano.'

'We are a subscription based band and members of the band consist of individuals from a wide range of backgrounds and ages. We are always happy to welcome new members, whether experienced players or relative beginners provided they have some experience. If the idea of being involved in a friendly band, where you can relax and enjoy playing a wide variety of music, interests you, whether you live locally or are just passing through please come along to the band room on rehearsal nights where you will be made very welcome. If you do not own your own instrument the band keeps a stock of instruments that can be used by members.'
