^ Barbershop Choruses ANNEXE
‘A registered charity supporting male barbershop singing in the UK. We are the largest barbershop organisation outside of North America, and have 60 registered choruses (choirs) and over 100 registered barbershop quartets. More and more people are experiencing the thrill and excitement of singing harmony in the distinctive barbershop style, which has resulted in a significant increase in the membership of our association. They all share the joy of singing - but it’s the harmony that makes the difference!’
’LABBS is one of three barbershop-singing organisations in the United Kingdom. Our members love to sing and we take every opportunity to share our love of barbershop and our passion for harmony, wherever we can. Since its establishment in 1976, LABBS has grown to have 50 clubs and over 2000 members who are located up, down and across the country from Cornwall to Scotland. The choruses vary in size and are made up of women of all ages but at the heart is their shared love of singing, friendship and being part of a modern and dynamic association.‘
‘The QUARTET OF NATIONS REGION 31 is a dynamic community of women singers representing Sweet Adelines International in England, Scotland, Wales and the Netherlands. We come together regularly to celebrate singing a cappella four-part harmony in barbershop style ... Today’s Sweet Adelines choruses and quartets sing exciting a cappella, four-part harmony music, barbershop style. The music includes special arrangements of today’s ballads, classic songs, popular show tunes and mainstream music.‘
