‘Started in 2000 as a one day event but has grown into a full weekend attracting major artists and folk enthusiasts from all over the country. Banbury, nestled on the eastern edge of the beautiful Cotswolds and close to the historic Civil War battle sites of Edgehill and Cropredy, is a great place to visit with its charming medieval shopping streets and alleyways. The pedestrianised town centre provides a fabulous place to shop and a great venue for the Dance Sides and Hobby Horses to perform.’ Held Mid October.

'Sunday evenings in the parish churches of Adderbury and Deddington, North Oxfordshire, and King’s Sutton, South Northamptonshire ... Music in Adderbury concerts - founded 1986 - were originally held only in the glorious setting of the parish church in the beautiful North Oxfordshire village of Adderbury. Nowadays, though, some of each season’s series concerts take place at the equally stunning parish church of Adderbury’s neighbouring village, Deddington.'

'The Swalcliffe Concerts aim to offer a rich mix of musical styles, enhanced by the wonderful acoustics of St Peter and St Paul, Swalcliffe. The concerts will raise funds for the church itself and other village projects and charities supported by the Swalcliffe Village Fund. We have more exciting and varied performances lined up for the future so please look out for further announcements ...'

‘A group of men who love to sing in the Barbershop style. Founded in 2003 they have quickly established themselves both locally and nationally as a chorus dedicated to the enjoyment of acapella 4 part harmony. Their infectious enthusiasm is guaranteed to put a smile on your face with a programme ranging from 19th century minstrel songs through to popular songs.’

'We are a friendly choir that welcomes enthusiastic singers of all ages ... ‘We’re a friendly choir that aims to sing challenging music to a high standard. The team for each concert is drawn from a larger squad of singers and so the composition of the choir varies. We have 3-4 rehearsals at weekends before each concert with at least one full-day rehearsal on a Saturday ... The choir’s main performing areas are Oxfordshire, Warwickshire and surrounding counties, but it also performs in London.’

'Milltown Singers is a mixed ability singing group which started out at The Mill in Banbury around 1998.
We meet between 8.00 pm to 9.30 pm each Thursday in term time ... Our aim is to provide a weekly session of singing for people who may or may not be able to read music, but who like to learn and sing music from different genres, without pressure and in a relaxed atmosphere ... We have concerts in the summer and at Christmas and each summer we record three songs at Woodworm Studios. In August each year we also run a very popular day long workshop which is open to all comers.'

‘Renowned for their ability to put on a fully staged musical in just one week during the summer, YOBOS is a non-profit making group created in 2003, as an exciting musical theatre project giving 10 to 19 year olds in the Banbury and North Oxfordshire area a taste of what it takes to be in a musical production. YOBOS high quality productions have resulted in them gaining national recognition, with the group winning awards as well as being asked to perform in the West End as part of a showcase of the country’s talented young performers on numerous occasions.’
