‘From small beginnings in 2013, Bowdon Festival has grown into a major arts event in Trafford and North Cheshire. We are a registered charity and are run entirely by volunteers. Our principal activity is Bowdon Youth Festival, held on the first weekend of February each year.’

‘A large mixed voice choir of around 100 singers. It offers good amateur singers in the South Manchester/North Cheshire area the opportunity to learn and perform major choral works, and a varied repertoire of music at well-attended public concerts, supported by professional musicians and directed by an ambitious demanding conductor.’

'Manchester's leading amateur Big Band  ... with 30 musicians playing a century of popular music across the Northwest and beyond ... The Band was formed by Dave Egerton in 1983 initially as a youth band fusing Dave’s brass band background with woodwinds and was known then by the name that is still its official title – The Altrincham Concert Band ... Whether we are playing on a bandstand in the park; on stage with a Big Band night; or at a wedding; we are here to help your special occasion be filled with great music and memories. Come along and sit back while we take you down memory lane.'

‘The HLO is based in the village of Hale, near Altrincham, on the South Manchester/Cheshire border. The orchestra specializes in rehearsing and performing orchestral works from the light classical music repertoire, as exemplified by the compositions of Frederic Curzon, Eric Coates, Robert Farnon, Haydn Wood, Percy Fletcher and Leroy Anderson to name just a few.’

Founded 2000: ‘We are a group of singers who perform mainly a cappella sacred and secular music from the 16th to the 21st centuries ... We have given concerts in many locations in the area, including Ashley, Arley, and Chelford, and further afield in the Fylde Peninsula, Kirkby Lonsdale, Cartmel Priory’.

‘Formed in 1936 as Sale Operatic and Dramatic Society and our aim was to bring top-quality musical theatre at affordable prices to the local community ... We produce two shows per year, in Spring and Autumn, presenting a varied repertoire, mostly slanted towards modern musicals but not forgetting the more traditional operettas. In 2000 the society name changed to Sale and Altrincham Musical Theatre (Sam Theatre as it's affectionately known), to reflect the modernisation of the Society.’
