'Briefly stated, the main purpose of the Society is to encourage the understanding, appreciation and enjoyment of classical music by promoting programmes where either live or recorded music is played for members and visitors. The Society also has higher aims, including the promotion of ideas and suggestions to enrich the cultural amenities of the immediate vicinity and co-operation with other organisations and societies in local, regional and national areas.'

'We have changed the name of this page to Musical Breaks to reflect the fact that we now hold events at both Bewdley and Llandudno. The Bewdley events were originally known as Brian Sharp Musical Breaks ... Brian Sharp was probably the most well-known organist in the UK. His career spanning over fifty years, encompassed all aspects of the Theatre and Electronic Organ World ...'

'We are a Light Orchestra with a difference. So far as we know, no other light orchestra has the same lineup or arrangements as we do. Your average light orchestra is essentially a light concert orchestra that plays light symphonic music (and does so very well, of course); but we do something different. Our lineup comprises a big band (alto, tenor and baritone saxes, trumpets, trombones, and piano, bass and drums) and adds to that a 20 piece string section, flutes, oboe, soprano sax, clarinets, bassoon and french horn for an unrivaled range of textures. All our 200+ arrangements have been written specifically for WMLO, so we play jazz standards, show tunes and songs from the golden era of songwriting in a totally individual way!'

'St Peter's is blessed with a pipe organ played from a remote console. The organ has been professionally overhauled in recent years with two new stops added. We have three excellent organists to make the most of this wonderful instrument at our services. We have recently acquired a modern grand piano to extend our musical capabilities. St Peter’s provides an excellent venue for periodic music concerts and visiting choirs which always prove popular locally ... St Peter's is a busy and thriving church offering services to suit all tastes, from the very traditional to the modern and everything in between. We have a great musical tradition with our church choir and now the orchestra plus the future long term plans of an early music ensemble, worship band, big band, chamber choir, youth choir and a festival chorus ...'
